New York University has announced the launch of a Web3 Learning Workshop in partnership with NEAR protocol<\/a>. The course will expose students to the underlying technology and hands-on experience working with Web3 tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 8, the New York University School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS), one of the schools and colleges that make up New York University, announced a partnership with the NEAR Foundation to launch a new “Web3 Learning Workshop\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>” for students, faculty, and industry partners. This is part of an effort to raise awareness of cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NYU SPS Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sport is the source of the course. The event will focus specifically on how blockchain and Web3 technologies interface with the sports business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dean of NYU SPS, Angie Kamath, said that it is the duty of colleges to help their communities achieve “success in every field.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWeb3 and blockchain technologies will have a large role to play, not just in the sports industry but in every industry that touches our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course is supposed to cover the fundamentals of blockchain technology<\/a>, digital assets, and their applications in the world of sports. Participants in the training will get practical instruction from Michael Kelly, a co-founder of the NEAR ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, via a Dapp on the NEAR platform, students who take part in the NYU SPS will be eligible for additional NFT prizes. Although NYU is not the first institution to provide a program on blockchain and Web3 technologies, it is among the best in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Australian educators have released a statement claiming that the Web3 business is lacking “qualified personnel” with education on a worldwide scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Huxley Peckham of the Blockchain Academy International <\/a>emphasized that blockchain education is crucial for “the next generation of strategists and consultants” and that 60 sectors have already used blockchain technology in some capacity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
