The Serbian government has previously been approached by South Korean<\/a> officials seeking their assistance in bringing Do Kwon home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, a group of South Korean prosecutors and justice ministry representatives went to Serbia to request help in locating Do Kwon. Major news organization Bloomberg reported on February 7 that a delegation from the Seoul public prosecutor's office flew to Serbia last week to ask Serbian law enforcement for assistance in finding Do Kwon<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Seoul prosecutor's office, which was responsible with finding and bringing the crypto fugitive to justice, confirmed that several of its members had gone to Belgrade with a high-ranking Justice Ministry representative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The staff wouldn't say where they believed Do Kwon to be, though. Early in December of last year, Serbian law enforcement received a request for Kwon's surrender from South Korean authorities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The co-founder of Terraform Labs, according to the South Koreans, was “in hiding” in the Balkan country at the time his multi-billion dollar crypto enterprise failed and had gone from South Korea to Singapore before heading to Serbia through Dubai in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do Kwon's passport has been revoked by South Korea, making it practically impossible for him to legally leave the nation he is currently in.Arrest warrants are pending for Kwon and several other Terraform Labs executives\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kwon is wanted worldwide, and Interpol has issued a “Red Notice” urging that foreign law enforcement agencies detain him. Kwon reappeared on Twitter on February 1 after an extended hiatus, asserting his innocence and criticizing those spreading “rumors” about his supposed crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kwon is charged with fraud<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Do Kwon is facing a number of criminal accusations from Korean prosecutors, including fraud and violating the nation's Capital Markets Act. These accusations are related to the $2 trillion market crash that was brought on by Kwon's TerraUSD and LUNA cryptocurrency failures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, it sparked a series of events that led to the demise of a number of cryptocurrency businesses, including Three Arrows Capital <\/a>(3AC) and Voyager Digital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kwon has called the claims against him “politically motivated,” despite the fact that he hasn't confirmed or denied the rumors that he's been hiding out in Serbia.
