The company clarified its aims, highlighting the desire to promote web3-integrated games to mainstream consumers by choosing creators for its incubator project that have a track record of producing popular games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incubator's main objective, according to Lawrence Lin, head of blockchain at Razer, is to boost projects' marketing efforts. Despite being a company that is predominately focused on PC gaming, Razer will not exclude mobile games from its program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal is to incubate up to 36 projects. The maker of gaming computers, headsets, and mouse, Razer, admitted that the initial crop of web3 games failed to appeal to general audiences. The company thinks that in order for the industry to advance, it is crucial to investigate the motives and actions of gamers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Lin, a lack of player engagement and retention is caused by the fact that many blockchain games <\/a>now place a higher priority on using blockchain technology than on providing fun and interesting gameplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that immersive and interesting gameplay should be prioritized in successful games, whether they are web2 or web3. These viewpoints concur with those of many game creators who contend that early cryptocurrency games overemphasized financial aspects at the expense of appealing visuals and in-depth gameplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some people in the expanding web3 gaming industry have disregarded phrases like “play-to-earn” and “GameFi,” which emphasize both financial rewards and enjoyment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lin argued that the most crucial component of any successful game launch is an excellent gaming experience. He thinks web3 will revolutionize gaming for everyone with the help of blockchain technologies and businesses with strong gaming expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lin stated that Razer, being a private company, cannot disclose financial information with regard to the funds set aside for ZW3I. But it's important to remember that zVentures started as a $30 million fund in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Razer has long pursued venture capital, the business is now primarily focused on cryptocurrency and web3.
