The Polygon bridger for Polygon zkEVM<\/a> was recently launched, and Polygon highlighted some new functionalities permitting rapid withdrawals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch of a new bridge centered on the Polygon zkEVM layer-2 solution was announced by Polygon as part of their ongoing development. A news release produced on April 26 provided the announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 27, the Polygon zkEVM solution went live after months of intensive testing. According to reports, the new bridge has a few modest UX enhancements that were developed taking into account community feedback. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the sources, the enhancements include a progress bar that is easier to see, transaction history, and a recent transaction panel with a progress bar using a color-coded approach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other improvements included in this upgrade include the option to filter transactions, the anticipated time for a pending transaction, and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It's interesting that several ERC-20 and ERC-777 coins<\/a> are supported by the new bridge. According to the sources, this new bridge has an autonomous mapping feature. Polygon emphasized in the press release that the bridge allows for rapid withdrawals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In many manual mapping bridges, an investor must spend hours mapping their tokens before a transaction can be completed, according to Polygon. According to the Polygon statement, their autonomy mapping entails that the bridge maps the tokens only when a transaction is triggered by an investor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Polygon emphasized that the new bridge is scaleable because it is driven by ZK technology. Due to the use of ZK, Polygon emphasized that their bridge inherits Ethereum's security. The statement says, in part: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Bridges powered by zero knowledge technology are better than those powered with other technologies because they are governed entirely by smart contracts: one on Ethereum and one on Polygon zkEVM.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In the news release, Polygon emphasized how many teams are already working on the zkEVM layer-2 solution. Infrastructure providers, dApps, and even video game projects are represented in the teams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alchemy, The Graph, ANKR, Sequence, Midnight Society, Oath of Peak, Balancer, Lens<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a>, and more teams are among those highlighted. More recently, Uniswap approved a plan to use zkEVM for the launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
