Romania has become the first European country to launch an institutional platform for trading digital assets, such as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ICI D|SERVICES \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>platform was built by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) and operated on the Romanian-designed MultiversX<\/a> blockchain network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform aims to promote digital art and culture, innovation, and development in blockchain and Web3 technologies.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

High-ranking government officials attended the launch event from Romania, including Sebastian Burduja, Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digitization; Florin Sp\u0103taru, Minister of Economy; and Mihai Diaconu, State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They praised the initiative as a historic milestone and a demonstration of Romania's commitment to the future of digital assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adrian-Victor Vevera, ICI Bucharest\u2019s director, said the platform was a joint effort of public, commercial, academic, cultural, and civil sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that the platform was only the beginning and would continue collaborating to foster an atmosphere conducive to democracy and growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
