Murati, has 126,200 followers on Twitter and has a verified account on the platform. The attack involved a misleading tweet that gained 79,600 views and 83 retweets within an hour before it was removed. The tweet's author had limited reply access, making it difficult for users to warn others about the false information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This incident raised concerns among cryptocurrency enthusiasts on Twitter<\/a>. Some users suspected that Murati had fallen victim to a SIM-swapping attack due to the unusual activities surrounding the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The misleading tweet included a link to a well-designed website that closely resembled another cryptocurrency-focused AI platform<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> called ChainGPT. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only significant change made was the addition of a prompt for users to connect their crypto wallets, putting them at risk of potential security threats.As of the time of writing, Murati has erased the tweets and regained access to her account.
