Avraham Eisenberg, the crypto user responsible for a multimillion-dollar attack on the decentralized exchange <\/a>Mango Markets is scheduled to face trial on December 4 in the United States. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judge Richard Berman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York set Avraham Eisenberg's trial date for December 4, according to court documents filed on June 14. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eisenberg allegedly carried out a major Mango Market exploit<\/a> in October 2022, culminating in the theft of approximately $116 million in the governance token MNGO, USD Coin (USDC), and Marinade Staked SOL (mSOL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eisenberg has pleaded not guilty to three felony counts of commodities fraud, commodity manipulation, and wire fraud concerning the Mango Markets exploitation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October 2022, the platform reported that he had returned approximately $67 million of the funds, with the crypto user claiming that his actions were lawful and part of a “highly profitable trading strategy.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The U.S. Attorney's Office and Eisenberg's defense team have until June 22 to submit scheduling-related pretrial motions. In January, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and Mango Markets filed separate civil lawsuits against him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since his detention by authorities in Puerto Rico in December 2022 and transfer to Oklahoma, the alleged Mango Markets exploiter has not posted to his Twitter account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
