\u2018Explain This Bob\u2019<\/strong> was a Twitter account [@explainthisbob]<\/strong> that used OpenAI\u2019s advanced GPT-4 model<\/a> to respond to tweets with witty explanations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prabhu Biswal from India created the account in May 2022, and it gained over 400,000 followers in a single year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The account also had a meme coin called Bob Token (BOB) and a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange called BobSwap\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>, launched in April 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project\u2019s website claimed that the AI bot was powered by BOB, which was traded on BobSwap and other platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elon Musk\u2019s Scam Claims<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On June 18, 2023, Elon Musk tweeted<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> at \u2018Explain This Bob,\u2019 saying the crypto account appeared to be a hoax. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This tweet came as a surprise, as Musk had previously expressed his admiration for the AI bot in April when he said, \u201cI love Bob\u201d<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> in response to one of its tweets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is unclear what prompted Musk to change his opinion about \u2018Explain This Bob,\u2019 but some analysts believe that he may have seen it as a marketing ploy to pump up the price of BOB. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Others suggest that he may have found the bot\u2019s sarcastic comments on his tweets annoying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly after Musk\u2019s tweet, Twitter suspended the \u2018Explain This Bob\u2019 account, sparking outrage and confusion among its fans and followers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many users questioned the validity of Musk\u2019s accusations and defended the project as legitimate and innovative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspension also affected the price of BOB, which dropped by more than 30%<\/strong> after the news. However, the token has since recovered slightly, showing a 10%<\/strong> increase in value over the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
