It is one of the benefits being offered – though the specifics may vary depending on the cryptocurrency <\/a>platform – that users can spend fiat money and receive cryptocurrencies in exchange as a reward, in a similar way to how users can get cashback, airline miles, or hotel points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With more than $1 billion spent on crypto-linked Visa cards in the first half of 2021, Sheffield is optimistic that there is more to be unlocked in the crypto-linked card space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 29, the payments company announced that it will allow users to settle payment transactions on its platform using the USD Coin cryptocurrency. The payment option trialled by Visa was made possible using the payment platform Crypto.com and the digital asset bank Anchorage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
