Today, the core team behind the Cardano Hydra Head protocol has overcome all obstacles and released a new upgrade. Cardano Hydra has been upgraded to version 0.11.0, which brings several advantages that Sebastian Nagel first disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a piece of software, the Cardano Hydra head is amenable to modifications and enhancements that can enhance its capabilities. Sebastian explained that the L2 ledger is now entirely isomorphic to the Layer-1<\/a> (L1) ledger by adding support for timed transactions. In addition to this unique addition, the latest version includes the long-awaited external wallet commit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While this may sound technical, it is essential to note that the primary objective of the Hydra Head enhancement is to force the protocol to operate as intended to surpass its performance goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As previously reported, the scaling protocol became compatible with the mainnet in May of this year, demonstrating months of intensive development work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a solution to some Cardano issues, the parent company of the Input-Output Global brand has come out to temper expectations that Hydra Head will be capable of handling up to 1 million Transactions Per Second (TPS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the actual capacity of Hydra has not been disclosed in full, the scaling protocol imposes a limit of 16 kb per transaction per head. According to the Version 0.11.0 GitHub page,\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> the maximum number of transactions the authorities can process is approximately 60.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Receiving its first revision proves that the Head protocol can be modified until the Cardano scaling goal is realized. As the first scaling solution on Cardano, it will likely serve as a reference for future developers who wish to create similar solutions on the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
