The business provided a preorder page in the Google Play Store<\/a>, allowing people to sign up for installation once the app is ready, and announced the debut in a tweet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The news comes in the wake of recent attempts by OpenAI to improve the security and openness of its technologies through programs like content watermarking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The corporation has come under fire because of worries over false information produced by its AI. OpenAI highlights the enhanced security features of the Android app over the web version. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similar to the iOS version, it will also provide capabilities like chat history synchronization across devices. OpenAI is directly competing with Microsoft's Bing Chat, which also uses GPT-4 technology from OpenAI, by releasing Android and iOS apps<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The apps offer an alternative to using a web browser to test large language models (LLMs). The launch occurs at the same time when Google launches its Bard chatbot in Brazil and the European Union. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also new rivals on the scene, such as Anthropic and its Claude 2 assistant\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>, which has more features than OpenAI's premium ChatGPT version. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
