Manta Network has launched its zero-knowledge proof layer-2 scaling network,<\/a> which promises DApp reduced fees and higher throughput.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manta Network's ZK-as-a-service platform introduces a new participant to the ecosystem of layer-2 blockchain solutions fueled by zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using ZK-proof technology, Manta Pacific is a modular L2 designed to enable Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>-native decentralized applications (DApps). The platform's software development kit and ZK library are marketed as providing developers with plug-and-play functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being EVM-native means that applications deployed on Ethereum can also be deployed on Manta Pacific, and being ZK-enabled offers low gas fees and scalability. Additionally, users can connect Ethereum to Manta to investigate its development environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manta Network's developer raises $25 million in Series A funding and introduces layer 2 for ZK apps. Web3 developers have access to various ZK-resistant L2 solution options, including Consensys' Linea zkEVM, <\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a>Polygon zkEVM, Starknet, Coinbase's Base, and zkSync Era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kenny Li, a core contributor to the Manta Network, told reporters following the launch of the mainnet that the various ZK-rollup L2s offer different value propositions that aim to solve significant problems developers encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe think that, in the mid- to long term, the market will converge to a small number of available solutions that are focused on making it as easy as possible for developers to build and deploy ZK-enabled applications.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Li added that the Web2 technology world followed a similar evolution with the success of software-as-a-service models employing a plug-and-play methodology:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a primary contributor of the Manta Network, Manta Pacific has been developing for nine months. Since its testnet launch in July 2023, over 3.5 million transactions and 150,000 wallets have been created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
