Meta has taken a step towards achieving its goal of making Horizon Worlds more accessible by bringing it to the web and mobile devices<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaborative virtual reality<\/a> (VR) platform Horizon Worlds, which Meta created, is coming to mobile devices and the web in early access, according to a blog post published on September 14 by Meta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only a “small number of people” were initially able to play the multiplayer shooter Super Rumble through the Meta Quest app<\/a> for Android and a web browser; iOS compatibility will come “in the coming weeks.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the corporation, there “should be multiple entry points” into the metaverse, a concept still lacking in interesting material. While the requirements for early access are unknown, Meta asserts that it will gradually make its most popular virtual application available to more users as it collects feedback and improves the user experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The action was taken shortly after Meta in the US revealed a new program for instructors to encourage children to explore the possibilities of the metaverse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a report, the Menlo Park-based business is partnering with 15 US universities “who are actively embracing immersive learning.” Stanford University, Arizona State University<\/a>, New Mexico State University, and other institutions are among them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goals for Meta's Horizon Worlds still need to be attained. Critics and even Meta's staff criticized Horizon Worlds in 2022, noting “too many quality issues” and an unfun setting that lessens the user experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Horizon Worlds, which is modeled after the well-known games Minecraft and Roblox\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>, allows users to create and interact with other players in a virtual setting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
