The 24-year-old running back for the New York Giants is a big fan of the virtual currency, which can be traded for million. He recently spoke with the Morgan Creek Digital co-founder Anthony Pompliano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an interview with Anthony Pompliano on the show “The Best Business Show,” Saquon Barkley is converting his marketing funds to bitcoin \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>(BTC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barkley's interview also included Strike's CEO, Jack Mallers, and the NFL running back stated that Mallers educated him on the technology. The football player stated that he will put his marketing funds directly into his Strike account for conversion to BTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barkley is reported to earn in the neighbourhood of eight figures ($10 million) each year from his marketing sponsorships. According to NJ.com data, the NFL athlete has endorsement deals with Toyota, Pepsi, Campbell Soup Company, Nike, and Panini America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barkley said to Pompliano that he examined how inflation affects the economy <\/a>and that, as a result of inflation's detrimental effect on wealth growth, he is shifting his focus to bitcoin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re seeing inflation and we\u2019re learning you can\u2019t save wealth. That\u2019s why I am going to be taking my marketing money in bitcoin,\u201d\u00a0 Barkley stated on the show. \u201cWhen you see the KDs, the Lebrons, and [Tom] Bradys of the world, and you want to create generational wealth, you can\u2019t do that with the sport that I play\u2026 and coming off of injuries. When you sit out of football for a whole year, you realise that this game could be taken away from you,\u201d\u00a0 the NFL running back emphasised.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Barkley is not the only NFL player to have converted earnings to bitcoin (BTC), as Russell Okung of the Carolina Panthers switched half of his salary to bitcoin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When BTC was nearing all-time highs, Okung was considered to be the NFL's highest-paid player. Other professional athletes are also considering receiving payment in cryptocurrencies, as evidenced by a slew of announcements this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Southampton Football Club, a Premier League soccer team in England, now has the option of receiving bonuses in Bitcoin. Landon Cassill, an American professional stock car racing driver, said in June that he would be paid in cryptocurrency for the remainder of the NASCAR season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NFL Draft Pick No. 1 According to reports, Trevor Lawrence claimed he converted his entire signing bonus to cryptocurrencies. Sean Culkin, an NFL player for the Kansas City Chiefs, has stated that he will convert his entire contract to bitcoin this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sacramento Kings, an American professional basketball team, recently announced that it will offer employees the option of having their salaries paid in bitcoin<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saquon Barkley was voted the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year during his rookie season, and he has also appeared in advertisements for Hulu, a multimedia streaming service. Barkley and Baker Mayfield of the Cleveland Browns starred in a Hulu promo last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
