width:16px; fill:#000000; stroke:#000000; display:inline-block;\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" version=\"1.1\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" xmlns:svg=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\"><use href=\"#wpil-svg-outbound-7-icon-path\"><\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> had limited support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed two-year ban would have halted the issuance of new and renewed permits for <a href=\"https:\/\/coinscreed.com\/staging\/what-are-crypto-mining-pools.html\" title=\"What Are Crypto Mining Pools?\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"75\">crypto mining<\/a> facilities in Pennsylvania. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, following the removal of the ban, the bill has been revised to include an impact study on mining operations and new reporting requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the revised bill, crypto miners in the state must submit various pieces of information within six months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This information includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The number and size of mining sites operated,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Details about energy sources, emissions reports, and <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Energy and water consumption data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pennsylvania-based crypto miners will be required to submit these reports annually.
