The now-defunct cryptocurrency hedge fund Three Arrows Capital (3AC) and bankrupt cryptocurrency lender Genesis <\/a>reached a settlement that resulted in a $33 million payment against a whopping $1 billion claim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This development highlights the market's inherent risks and volatility, as disclosed by court filings. After “extensive negotiations,” the settlement is awaiting approval from a bankruptcy court in New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A protracted period of volatility in the cryptocurrency market\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>, appropriately named a “crypto winter,” was announced by the collapse of 3AC in June 2022.
