The Ethiopian flag, in fact, has nothing to do with Ethereum. Flags have been attached to hashtags of countries competing in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics by the social media platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The advertising is part of the platform's ‘hashflags' campaign, which it also ran during the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It's worth noting that earlier this year, the Twitter CEO used the Ethiopian flag to promote Bitcoin after retweeting lobbying attempts by a group of Ethiopian-based entrepreneurs<\/a> known as “Project Mano,” who were encouraging their government to explore mining and hoarding BTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
