In India, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) credentialing system will issue tamper-evident certificates via the Avalanche blockchain due to compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With more than 75,000 members, India has the second-largest IEEE membership base outside the United States. The professional association shall provide IEEE credentials or certificates to all trainees and users to ensure the verification process is impregnable, immediate, and secure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IEEE will issue blockchain certificates through LegitDoc, a Zupple Labs-developed blockchain-based credential<\/a> lifecycle management system. Co-founder of Zupple, Neil Martis, said the Indian public sector has become more receptive to implementing full-fledged blockchain initiatives than pilots over the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rationale behind selecting Avalanche's C-Chain as the principal settlement layer for issuing IEEE certificates was the requirement for an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible ecosystem. Martis continued, “However, we would experiment with new platforms and parallel settlement layers as appropriate new technologies emerge.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
