Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, has reiterated his negative views towards the XRP community, <\/a>the supporters of XRP, a digital currency that is used for cross-border payments by Ripple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoskinson, who is known for his outspoken and controversial opinions, has once again slammed the XRP community as \u201ctoxic and petty\u201d and ruled out any possibility of collaboration or technical synergy between Cardano and Ripple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not the first time that Hoskinson has expressed his disdain for the XRP community. About a year ago, Hoskinson made headlines\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> with his direct critique of the XRP community, labeling them as \u201ctoxic and petty\u201d and accusing them of spreading misinformation and propaganda. He also said that he had no interest in working with Ripple or integrating XRP into Cardano, as he saw no value or innovation in their technology or vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite Ripple\u2019s chief technology officer, David Schwartz, attempting to mediate and invite Hoskinson to a friendly discussion, Hoskinson\u2019s position remained unchanged, responding with a curt \u201cNo comment.\u201d <\/em>Hoskinson also said that he had blocked Schwartz on Twitter as he found him annoying and dishonest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent statements, Hoskinson has renewed his criticism of the XRP community, emphasizing the consistent \u201charassment\u201d he has faced from them over two years. He said that he has received thousands of hateful and abusive messages from the XRP community, who have tried to discredit and attack him and his project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cardano founder also said that he has reported and blocked many of them, but they keep returning with new accounts. He pointed out the distinct lack of technical alignment between Cardano and XRP<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> and their differing market focuses. He asserted that Cardano is a third-generation blockchain platform that aims to solve the scalability, interoperability, and sustainability issues of the crypto industry, while XRP is a centralized and pre-mined digital currency that is designed for a specific use case of cross-border payments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoskinson said Cardano has more in common with other blockchain projects like Tezos, Algorand, Polkadot, and Ethereum – which address similar challenges and goals. Unlike Ripple, tailored for a different purpose and audience. He recently addressed conspiracy theories circulating within the XRP community, particularly those aimed at Ethereum, Cardano's main competitor and the second-largest blockchain platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some XRP supporters have claimed Ethereum<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> received preferential treatment from the SEC, which sued Ripple for allegedly selling unregistered XRP securities. Hoskinson also said some XRP supporters allege entities linked to Ethereum, like ConsenSys, influenced the SEC\u2019s decision against XRP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoskinson dismissed these claims as baseless, saying that there is no evidence or logic to support them. He said that Ethereum has not received any special treatment from the SEC <\/a>and that the SEC\u2019s lawsuit against Ripple is based on the facts and the law, not on any external influence or bias. The Cardano founder has said that the SEC\u2019s lawsuit against Ripple is not a war against the crypto industry but a specific case against a specific company and its actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his remarks, Hoskinson stressed the significance of evidence-based discourse over supposition.
