Google data indicates that the trend of “Bitcoin” and, on occasion, “crypto” searches surpassing “AI” searches, which has persisted since 2020. Nevertheless, this disparity began to reverse in August 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the launch of OpenAI's ChatGPT in November 2022, when searches for “AI” first appeared, the disparity between these and crypto-related search terms has grown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current global search interest in “AI” is ranked 91st on Google Trends, whereas Bitcoin is ranked 22nd. Google assigns search terms a score between 0 and 100 according to the proportion of total searches by topic across all topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The outcomes might not be unexpected, given that Bitcoin has been adversely affected by the final stages of a bear market cycle that persisted throughout the majority of 2022 and the latter half of 2021. Nevertheless, it regained ground that it had previously lost throughout this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bitcoin debuted the year at $16,900, significantly lower than its all-time high of $68,729 on November 11, 2021. Autism Capital, a user of Crypto X (formerly Twitter), was one of the initial users to observe the trend when they published a message to their 249,900 followers on December 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One commenter on the post hypothesized that the discrepancy was because Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are comparatively more established topics of interest than artificial intelligence (AI), implying that individuals have already conducted extensive research on the crypto terms in previous years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In July, AI emerged as the undisputed frontrunner among employment seekers, as per the findings of CoinGecko, a cryptocurrency data aggregator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
