Over the last 24 hours, Polygon's NFT volume has surpassed Solana's (SOL). The well-known Ethereum-based Layer-2 scaling system<\/a> is currently ranked third after Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), moving Solana to the fourth level, according to data from CryptoSlam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to CryptoSlam data, Polygon has sold $9,986,754 worth of goods daily over the last 24 hours, more than twice as much as Solana, which sold $4,116,667 worth of goods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flipping began when the sales volume of Polygon NFT increased by 43% in a single day, but the sales volume of Solana fell by more than 17%. In addition, Polygon's wash sales total is more significant than Solana's, coming in at $858,631 versus $175,493. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total sales volume, including normal and wash sales, is $10,845,385 for Polygon NFTs and $4,292,160 overall. The total number of traders that helped Polygon achieve this rare feat is 12,283. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An interesting trend presented itself in this regard as the total traders on Solana are far more than 13,560, underscoring how relatively more valuable the Non-Fungible Tokens<\/a> being traded on Polygon are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, as of the ranking time, the Polygon NFT trader count surpasses the 7,002 purchasers on the Bitcoin network and the 10,551 customers on Ethereum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to this NFT data, Polygon is the highest-performing non-layer-1 network among the top 5, with Avalanche Network rounding out the list. Even though the crypto market is still in its infancy, players are competing more fiercely, similar to what happens in the traditional financial world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few weeks back, Solana gained attention as the leading location for NFT and DeFi trading activity\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>, outpacing Ethereum in daily and weekly DEX volumes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This accomplishment is unprecedented, given that Ethereum continues to dominate the ecosystem in many ways. Layer-2 solutions are reaching maturity, as seen by Polygon's outperformance over Solana. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This development has led Vitalik Buterin<\/a> to advocate for creating tailored Name Services for these protocols to improve their adoption and use.
