The deceptive application, operating under the name <strong>&#8220;Rabby Wallet & Crypto Solution&#8221;<\/strong> by <strong>&#8220;Solution Development,&#8221;<\/strong> has been available on the App Store for at least four days despite multiple reports from users about it being fraudulent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The authentic Rabby Wallet team confirmed on Feb. 16 that any version of the app currently available on the App Store is fake, as their official app is still under review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation escalated as users, tricked by the imposter app, reported big financial losses. Concerned people took to various platforms, including Reddit and the Apple discussion board, to share their experiences and warn others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Victims of the scam have already lost large amounts of money, with one user claiming a loss of $5,000 and another stating that 10% of their cryptocurrency portfolio was wiped out due to the fake app. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A report also came from an NFT collector known as <em>&#8216;bthemouth,' <\/em>who found their wallets emptied after the fraudulent app obtained their seed phrase, leading to a loss of nearly 14 ETH, valued at around $40,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">So today I was drained by a fake wallet on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Apple?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@Apple<span class=\"wpil-link-icon\" title=\"Link goes to external site.\" style=\"margin: 0 0 0 5px;\"><svg width=\"24\" height=\"24\" style=\"height:16px; width:16px; fill:#000000; stroke:#000000; display:inline-block;\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" version=\"1.1\" xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" xmlns:svg=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\"><use href=\"#wpil-svg-outbound-7-icon-path\"><\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> appstore.
