According to a press release, the partnership entails an undisclosed investment from Square Enix; the funds will be utilized to expand and leverage the HyperPlay game store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partnership will also see the launch of Square Enix's “SYMBIOGENESIS,” a MetaMask-based art experience that centers on the ownership of digital assets on the HyperPlay storefront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a press release, Square Enix's General Manager of Investments, Hideaki Uehara, described the investment and partnership as “extremely exciting.” The company further stated, “the HyperPlay team has created an extraordinary product for enhancing game distribution and generating new business models that are more advantageous for game developers<\/a>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration and investment coincides with Square Enix executives' renewed efforts to modernize the organization's framework to accommodate blockchain, Web3, and artificial intelligence technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a press release, JacobC.eth, the founder of HyperPlay, stated that the investment will assist the company in accomplishing its goal of revolutionizing the gaming industry:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
