The exchange's announcement on X states that spot trading for WIF and MEW has commenced officially on OKX. OKX customers can now begin trading memecoins against the Tether stablecoin by depositing WIF and MEW tokens onto the exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement states that WIF spot trading will commence on April 15 at 9:00 am UTC, one hour after the initiation of MEW spot trading. OKX announced that both tokens' withdrawal will commence at 10:00 am UTC on April 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the rapidly expanding memecoins, WIF and MEW exchange millions of dollars daily. Both platforms utilize the Solana blockchain, which, due to the ongoing memecoin mania, has exhibited superior network activity and adoption rates compared to competing networks like Ethereum and Avalanche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dogwifhat (WIF), which debuted in November 2023, has nearly $50 billion in market capitalization by the first quarter of 2024, placing it among the top 50 coins by market capitalization. This places WIF among the largest memecoins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to data from CoinGecko, WIF is the third-largest memecoin and the 42nd-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization at the time of writing, trailing only Elon Musk's preferred memecoin, Dogecoin, and Shiba Inu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of this writing, the token is trading at $3, an increase of approximately 13% over the previous twenty-four hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MEW, the acronym for the new cryptocurrency Cat in a Dog's World, debuted officially on March 26 after only a few weeks of development. The memecoin challenges the prevailing influence of dog-themed cryptocurrencies such as DOGE, SHIB, and WIF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CoinGecko data indicates that MEW is trading at $0.0052 at the time of writing, an increase of 80% over the previous twenty-four hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
