In what will be the next high-profile case in the crypto ecosystem to pay over $4 billion in settlement, the news of the settlement was first shared by Reuters. Several months ago, Binance Exchange\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> settled with the Department of Justice (DOJ) to resolve a lengthy investigation into the exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trading platform consented to pay $4.3 billion to the Department of Justice (DoJ), the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Founder Changpeng ‘CZ' Zhao, presently incarcerated, also resigned as part of the settlement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
