Aethir has partnered with MetaGravity, the developer of HyperScale Engine, to expedite the development of decentralized physical infrastructure networks gaming<\/a> (DePIN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partnership aims to enhance the 3D internet and the gaming industry by utilizing DePIN technology to establish a scalable infrastructure that streamlines gaming development and improves its efficiency and accessibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dan Wang, the CEO and co-founder of Aethir, underscored the objective of the partnership in a written Q&A with Cointelegraph. He stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBy uniting a global network of underutilized resources, we\u2019re paving the way for a more accessible, immersive and sustainable future for gaming and the 3D internet.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The partnership endeavors to surmount the historical constraints of online gaming<\/a> by integrating Aethir's Instaplay pixel streaming solution and MetaGravity's HyperScale Engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simultaneously, the collaboration will allow game developers to expand the back-end simulation infrastructure and the front-end “cross-device pixel streaming capability.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Q&A, Tobin Ireland, the co-founder and chief business officer of MetaGravity, explained causal partitioning:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMetaGravity has created a new method of concurrency and parallelism for distributing a massive simulation across multiple servers (called Causal Partitioning), without the scale and cost limitations of the previous approaches.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

According to Ireland, MetaGravity employs mathematical formulations to precisely quantify gameplay interactions, thereby establishing infrastructure that “can deliver a 100x scale of spatial partitioning at 1\/100th of the cost of compute.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Decentralized computation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The partnership between MetaGravity \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>and Aethir also aims to establish a longer-term research and development roadmap to expedite the adoption of DePINs for gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wang stated the following regarding the implications of DePIN on gaming:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDePINs leverage geographically distributed GPU resources, placing processing power closer to users. DePINs are inherently scalable and secure, ensuring smooth operation for even the most demanding games.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Control and Ownership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

MetaGravity and Aethir's combined technology is designed to create the third-generation internet, distinguished by its decentralized ownership and control mechanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ireland stated that there would be a rise in the demand for computing capacity, which would reduce network transport costs and latency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
