Over 40 crypto projects, including AltLayer, Arbitrum, and Optimism, will conclude the release of their crypto assets<\/a> in July, unlocking crypto tokens valued at $755 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To prevent early investors and team members from selling their tokens, crypto vesting locks them down. This mechanism is instrumental in avoiding a price decline during the initial stages of a cryptocurrency endeavor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AltLayer (ALT), Xai (XAI), Aptos, Arbitrum (ARB), Optimism (OP), Sui (SUI), Immutable (IMX), and Starknet (STRK) are the cryptocurrencies that will unlock the most crypto assets in July 2024, according to the Vesting data tracker Token Unlocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July's Largest Token Releases<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

AltLayer, a decentralized protocol<\/a>, will release the largest number of tokens in July. The initiative intends to distribute 684 million ALT tokens, wholly valued at approximately $125 million, on July 25. Investors, advisers, protocol development, treasury ecosystem, and community members receive tokens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second-largest quantity of tokens is expected to be released by the gaming-focused project Xai on July 9, with approximately $93 million in tokens set to be unlocked. Like AltLayer, the crypto assets are intended for the team, investors, and ecosystem. It also allocates approximately $2 million in tokens to its reserves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Token prices for ALT and XAI are currently approximately $0.18 and $0.46, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Activation of Tokens by Projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aptos will release an additional tranche of tokens in July, following the unlocking of $101 million in May and $102 million in June. The initiative will distribute 11.31 million APT tokens in July, wholly valued at $77 million. The foundation, community, primary contributors and investors receive these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past three months, the price of APT has decreased by 60%, from a maximum of $17.63 on April 1 to $6.99 on June 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arbitrum, which distributed $95 million in May and $105 million in June, intends to distribute an additional $75 million in tokens to its investors, advisers, and team on July 16. Additionally, on March 16, the initiative issued 1.1 billion ARB tokens priced at $2.32 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ARB prices have decreased by 63% since the significant unlock, reaching a peak of $2.27 on March 8 and currently at $0.82.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the past two months, Optimism, Sui, Immutable, and Starknet \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>have unlocked millions of their native tokens.
