Bitget cryptocurrency exchange <\/a>is collaborating with Indian regulators to secure the necessary license to operate by local regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bitget announced on July 3 that it has been actively discussing with India's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) to obtain Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simran Alphonso, Bitget's chief of global communications, informed Cointelegraph that the registration would provide a clear path to comply with tax regulations and maintain operational transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It also offers a secure environment for organizing meetups, engaging with the community, and conducting educational initiatives.” “In general, it enhances the credibility and dependability of a cryptocurrency exchange<\/a>,” Alphonso observed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also mentioned that the FIU registration benefits consumer protection, providing civil force support in pursuing fraudsters, dispute resolution, and compensation for fraud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alphonso reports that the Bitget crypto exchange is currently operational in the Indian market; however, it is experiencing difficulties registering new users due to the absence of VASP registration. She declared:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“New users encounter challenges when attempting to access Bitget applications on the Google Play Store<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> and App Store, whereas current users can utilize the app's full range of capabilities.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alphonso should have provided additional information regarding the specific cryptocurrency services that Bitget currently provides to its existing consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
