PAWS Chicago said on Tuesday that it would accept Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), and other tokens to help fund its operations as it prepares to open a new shelter for homeless cats and canines\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The charity hopes to appeal to “a tech-savvy cohort of potential donors” by using digital billboards depicting a dog blasting lasers out of its eyes to promote cryptocurrency donations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crypto donations may be used to help the charity achieve its aim of reducing the number of shelter animals euthanized in the United States by spaying and neutering cats and dogs, according to the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAWS Chicago claims to have performed 300,000 surgeries in its 25 years of operation, resulting in a 91% reduction in the number of homeless animals killed in the Chicago area. The new medical centre intends to increase animal rescue operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAWS Chicago CEO Susanna Homan remarked, “We are delighted to interact with the expanding cryptocurrency <\/a>community, who can help support the future of animal welfare in Chicago and save animals' lives.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
