In a statement shared with Cointelegraph, Immutable highlighted that this new integration enables game developers to securely store and manage assets tied to game economies, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and decentralized finance (DeFi)<\/a> protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asset Management Support for Developers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Immutable also mentioned that this collaboration would improve projects' control over their holdings within Immutable\u2019s Polygon-powered zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) chain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robbie Ferguson, the president and co-founder of Immutable, noted that Fireblocks\u2019 infrastructure \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>would assist game developers in managing assets related to NFTs and game transactions, ensuring smooth operations within DeFi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Immutable team expressed confidence that this new integration \u201cwill reshape treasury management for games, builders, DeFi projects, and ecosystem partners on Immutable zkEVM.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fireblocks is a security service provider that assists blockchain projects<\/a> in moving, storing, and issuing digital assets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company integrates wallets, custodians, and financial trading partners into a single platform, aiming to become the cryptocurrency space\u2019s equivalent of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 14, Fireblocks received a New York state charter, allowing it to offer crypto custody services to clients in the United States. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This enables the company to provide cold storage solutions to U.S. clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immutable Shuts Down NFT Marketplace<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This new integration follows Immutable\u2019s announcement that it is shutting down its NFT marketplace<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 8, the gaming and NFT blockchain stated that its marketplace would be retired on August 13 as part of a strategy to expand its ecosystem through partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immutable explained that the marketplace was initially created to showcase the capabilities of the Immutable software development kit (SDK), and now that projects have been established, it\u2019s time to wind down operations to \u201csee the Immutable Ecosystem grow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

User assets will remain linked to their wallets regardless of the game or marketplace used. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
