According to a news statement dated August 21, Animoca Brands' gaming business, GAMEE, has obtained funding from California-based venture capital firm Pantera Capital to expand its reach across different blockchain networks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the amount of cash was not disclosed, the investment is believed to enable GAMEE to use the Telegram-based app<\/a> WatBird to increase its presence on The Open Network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animoca points out that GAMEE just secured funding from TONNE Ventures, a venture capital organisation supporting entrepreneurs in the TONNE. This investment comes after one from Pantera. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Co-founder of GAMEE Bozena Rezab commented on the fundraising, calling it a “significant vote of confidence in our vision to seamlessly integrate web3 mechanics into the gaming experiences we've cultivated for our community of 90 million gamers.”\u00a0Bozena Rezab stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This support will help us accelerate our mission to strengthen the community's engagement with the TON ecosystem.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

With this investment, Pantera Capital continues to increase its strategic stake in TONNE. The company's announcement in May of its “largest investment ever” in the network demonstrated its faith in TON's ability to acquire the defunct FTX exchange<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TONNE was chosen as the platform to “introduce crypto to the masses because it is used extensively within the Telegram network,” according to a statement made by Pantera at the time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The size of Pantera's investment in GAMEE remains undisclosed; nevertheless, it comes after the company spent $250 million to acquire Solana (SOL) from the estate of the defunct FTX exchange, underscoring its continued determination to increase its footprint in the blockchain industry\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
