According to reports, Twitter \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>is working on adding features that would allow users to link their Bitcoin and Ethereum addresses to their profiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recent update is considered to be a component of Twitter's Tip Jar function, which was introduced in May of this year. It also appears to confirm rumours that the company would support Bitcoin (BTC) tipping for content creators, which surfaced earlier this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alessandro Paluzzi, an Italian mobile developer and self-described “leaker,” posted screenshots of the Twitter app's settings toolbar on September 3 that displayed Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) wallet address possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twitter's product lead Kayvon Beykpour shared Paluzzi's Sept. 1 post announcing the Bitcoin tipping feature with the lighting and “soon” arrow emojis, despite the fact that the information is unofficial for the time being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey revealed in July that the company's efforts to integrate Bitcoin<\/a> tipping into the platform through routes like as commerce and subscriptions were part of a bigger effort to integrate the commodity into the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a report published on August 31 by MacRumours, the BTC tipping feature will make use of the Lightning Network payment platform Strike. In contrast, Paluzzi has stated that it is “not necessary to link a Strike account” in order to add BTC addresses to user profiles, according to the author.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
