Elon Musk, the proprietor of the social media platform X, has clarified that his artificial intelligence venture, xAI, is not seeking to generate revenue from Tesla in exchange for the sharing of its technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The clarification is in response to a Wall Street Journal report that asserted that xAI has discussed the possibility of sharing its technology with Tesla in exchange for revenue from the carmaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musk stated in a Sept. 8 X post that the xAI models are enormous and contain the majority of human knowledge in compressed form. He further stated that they are incapable of running on the Tesla vehicle inference computer, nor would he desire them to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musk further elaborated on the electric vehicle's comprehensive self-driving (FSD) capabilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTesla has learned a lot from discussions with engineers at xAI that have helped accelerate achieving unsupervised FSD, but there is no need to license anything from xAI.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Musk asserted that Tesla's AI models<\/a> demonstrate exceptional intellect by translating real-world videos into driving commands. These models operate on a 300W computer with memory and bandwidth that are significantly lower than those of an H100 graphics processing unit (GPU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Musk, Tesla's real-world AI has a context size that is considerably larger than that of a large language model (LLM). This is due to the combined video feed from all cameras, which comprises several gigabytes of data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musk Anticipates that xAI will become a Formidable Competitor to OpenAI.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Musk established his own artificial intelligence company, xAI, in July 2023. Musk asserts that xAI has the potential to become a significant competitor by the end of 2024, despite its relative youth in comparison to OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musk announced on September 2 that his team at xAI has successfully operationalized its Colossus 100,000 H100 training cluster. It will double in size over the next few months, reaching 200,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The claim that Colossus is the most potent AI training system available is now being promoted, and this claim is substantiated by the significant number of graphics processing units (GPUs) that are powering the model. The model was created in collaboration with Nvidia, the world's foremost manufacturer of semiconductor chips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump, the former president of the United States, recently declared that he would establish a government efficiency commission, with Musk serving as its chairman, if he were to reclaim the Oval Office in the November 2024 election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musk responded to Trump's statement by expressing his eagerness to serve the United States if the opportunity arises, and he does not require any compensation, title, or recognition for the privilege.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump reiterated his endorsement of the digital asset\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> sector on September 5. He declared that, in the event of his election, he would replace a minimum of ten outdated regulations with a single new regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also stated that he intends to embrace the industries of the future, including the establishment of America as the global hub for crypto and Bitcoin, rather than engaging in attacks on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
