In a press release shared with Cointelegraph<\/em>, the startup announced its focus on creating the first open-source Personal Intelligence Network (PIN). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This open-source solution, developed through research collaborations with Ethereum Core<\/a>, Stanford, and MIT, directly competes with Apple\u2019s recently launched Apple Intelligence AI solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a written Q&A with Cointelegraph<\/em>, Ben Wu, co-founder of PIN AI, stated that the September 9 announcement was timed to coincide with Apple\u2019s same-day launch to \u201cmaximize the impact of the communication.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple Decentralized Alternative<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to the press release, PIN AI offers a privacy-centric, open-source alternative to Apple Intelligence, available exclusively on certain iPhone models. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This decentralized option is designed to operate on lower-spec smartphones and a wider array of devices, making it accessible to a larger audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wu elaborated, \u201cInternet giants like Apple, Google, Facebook, and Amazon have built trillion-dollar empires based on user data.\u201d He continued, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PIN AI platform \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>will enable developers to build AI agents that function on users\u2019 devices, leveraging personal data in a decentralized and privacy-preserving manner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
