Yuga Labs, the makers of Bored Ape, kicked off the auction of 101 unique NFTs \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>from the founders' own collection at famed British auction house Sotheby's last week on September 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of the time of writing, the online auction bid has risen to an astounding $19 million. It has already surpassed Sotheby's projections of a top price of $18 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 10,000 such photos in the full set of Bored Ape NFTs. As a result, the auction winner will own 1% of the total collection. We've just been live for three days, but the auction will continue this week through September 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bored Apes NFTs <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Bore Ape NFT collection is gaining a lot of traction recently, just as the NFT market has gone crazy for CryptoPunks<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) and the Bored Ape Kennel Club are both parts of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). All three collections collectively amassed approximately 170,000 ETH ($644m) in trading volume in the month of August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A week ago, the Mutant Ape Collection debuted to great acclaim. Yuga Labs sold 10,000 Mutant Ape NFTs to new buyers in the first hour of operation, producing more over $96 million in ETH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
