and &#8220;crypto asset securities&#8221; interchangeably. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This led one judge to remark that the SEC seems more focused on punishing companies than providing clear rules, aligning with the crypto industry\u2019s criticism of &#8220;regulation by enforcement.&#8221; The judge said, &#8220;We won\u2019t tell you the answer until we prosecute you.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coinbase CLO and Legal Observers Weigh In<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul Grewal, Coinbase\u2019s Chief Legal Officer, expressed dissatisfaction with the SEC\u2019s actions, accusing the agency of offering no guidance while conducting an &#8220;arbitrary enforcement campaign.&#8221;
