Marketnode, a blockchain infrastructure firm <\/a>with headquarters in Singapore, has announced a strategic investment from European clearinghouse Euroclear to grow its services throughout the Asia-Pacific area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Singapore-based business, which focuses on tokenization asset management and blockchain-based financial infrastructure, stated in a blog post on October 17 that the funding is in line with Euroclear's global funds strategy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The release states that the cooperation is anticipated to improve Euroclear's one-stop-shop fund offering in the region, even if the precise financial terms of the investment were kept private.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marketnode chief executive Rehan Ahmed, commenting on the funding, said the investment “will catalyze the growth of Marketnode's platforms,” adding that the firm is looking forward to building the “next generation of financial market infrastructure out of Asia, working together with Euroclear, HSBC, Temasek and our clients to realize our mission and vision.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an earlier foray into blockchain technology, Euroclear and the World Bank collaborated to offer a tokenized securities issuance service\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> that featured the issuing of \u20ac100 million in digital bonds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marketnode is the distributed ledger-powered financial market infrastructure for Asia-Pacific, founded in 2021 by SGX Group and Temasek. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The firm provides a platform with blockchain-based fund settlement infrastructure and issuance, data, workflow, and tokenization capabilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
