Telegram plans to launch TON-based NFTs for limited-edition animated gifts, allowing users to display, trade, or auction them within and outside the app. These tokenized gifts will be recorded on the TON blockchain and can be exchanged for Telegram’s in-app currency, Stars.
TON-based non-fungible tokens (NFT) are set to be supported by the founder of Telegram later this year. Users can convert limited-edition animated gifts into NFTs on the TON blockchain with the assistance of this new feature.
These tokenized presents can be traded for Telegram’s in-app currency, Stars, or displayed on user profiles. In addition, users can auction and trade these NFTs outside of Telegram, with ownership securely recorded on the TON blockchain.
This innovative feature aims to improve the gifting experience within the Telegram community by providing a distinctive and festive method of commemorating special occasions.
