At this time, the Terra Luna Classic community is voting on yet another suggestion for a security upgrade. This recently released upgrade includes a security fix for Wasmvm and an improvement to the gas simulation of taxable transactions.
Terra Luna Classic Community Votes on v3.1.6 Upgrade
The price of LUNC has increased by more than 6% in the past day and by more than 15% in the past month. StrathCole, the developer of Terra Luna Classic, has put forward proposal 12139, which is titled “Upgrade to v3.1.6,” for the purpose of governance voting on the Station wallet.
The Terrad client repository on GitHub reports the release of a new Terrad client on September 26.The update will apply an upstream security patch to Wasmvm, updating its version to 1.5.5.
The update also includes an enhancement to the gas simulation of taxable transactions, previously only available to endpoint providers due to its lack of significant changes to the consensus (v3.1.5-sim.2). It also provides support for the upcoming implementation of Tax2Gas, which has been much anticipated.
Currently, every member of the community has accepted the most recent proposition. All validators and delegators have cast “Yes” votes, resulting in a unanimous decision.
The StakeBin countdown predicts that the chain will halt at block height 20085000 on October 4 at 1:30 PM UTC, subject to community approval. Terraform Labs (TFL) and its CEO, Chris Amani, have recently stated that they have received an order from the bankruptcy court to cease operations following the SEC settlement.
In the event that negotiations with third parties are unsuccessful, they also have plans in place to shut down operations as well as the products and services they offer.
