Elon Musk mocks Web 3.0 and NFT
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, recently mocked “Web 3.0” enthusiasts on Twitter with a new joke.
The billionaire published a meme version of the popular humor comic “Urinating Ritual,” in which a man comes into the men’s room and walks past a mound of empty tubs to promote crypto, Web3, and Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAO) for a. to favor strangers right next to him.

In recent months, the term “web3” has become a new buzzword used by crypto influencers and venture investors.
Although the term’s exact definition is vague, “Web 3.0” is marketed as an online utopia in which individuals employ blockchain and other modern technologies to reclaim ownership of their data.
Many individuals simply see this latest incarnation of the internet as a waste of money. Web 3.0 has lately been referred to as “vaporware” by Cornell University professor James Grimmelmann.
Earlier this week, Musk tweeted that the term “Web3” sounded like “BS.” In reaction to a tweet by Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus about the surge in frauds in the sector, he criticized NFT.
