Together Labs partnered with Immutable X to facilitate carbon-conscious NFT activity within the IMVU ecosystem, the partnership will promote the creation and distribution of NFTs.
IMVU is a blockchain simulation game similar to The Sims or Second Life in which people may create, inhabit, and interact with virtual worlds.
IMVU boasts 200,000 active creators and 1 million daily active players, according to Silicon Valley-based startup Together Labs a technological architecture focused on the social media experience with the deployment of cryptocurrency and all of its ecosystem components.
Immutable X is an NFT-centric blockchain protocol based on the Ethereum blockchain that allows for up to 9,000 near-instant transactions per second in the case of ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens, zero gas fees, and scaling capabilities that outperform the market average thanks to StarkWare’s zk-Rollup.
Robbie Ferguson, the co-founder of Immutable X, described the additional capabilities that IMVU gamers will be able to experience as a result of the introduction of NFTs.
“We are thrilled at the partnership with IMVU. With Immutable X’s technology, we are offering scalability to every user in IMVU metaverse and allowing them to trade their NFTs seamlessly on Ethereum without compromising on the security of their assets.”
Immutable launched a $60 million Series B funding round two weeks ago, with investors including Alameda Research and VaynerFund. Following the success of the blockchain trading card game Gods Unchained, the protocol is looking to expand its NFT gaming enterprise.
They’ve also promised to follow environmentally friendly techniques such as establishing zero-knowledge proofs and purchasing carbon offsets.
As promised, the partnership with IMVU will allow players to engage in regular in-game activities such as building the universe, creating 3D avatars, socializing with other players, purchasing collectible items, and transacting with the game’s fiat-convertible stablecoin VCORE while remaining carbon neutral.
