Animoca Brands has led a $24.3 million Series A fundraising round for Untamed Planet, it will also partner with the latter to develop and publish a nature conservative game dubbed Untamed Metaverse.
The fund will be utilized to build Untamed Metaverse in collaboration with Animoca Brands and its subsidiary nWay, according to the statement. Untamed Planet was founded in 2020 and uses Web3 technology to produce nature-based games that assist raise funds for conservation.
Untamed Metaverse allows players to explore a digital replica of the world’s natural environments, participate in missions, collect NFT items, and form communities of people dedicated to environmental protection.
Untamed Planet promises to be creating a long-term source of donations for environmental conservation while also offering Untamed Planet community members play-to-earn and play-to-protect options.

Animoca Brands recently announced its collaboration with OneFootball and Liberty City Ventures to form OneFootball Labs, a joint venture between the three companies.
OneFootball Labs will use blockchain technology to deliver football fans a completely new experience, according to the statement. The new firm will “allow clubs, leagues, federations, and players to produce digital assets and fan-centric experiences” on the blockchain, thanks to the extensive network of Animoca Brands in the blockchain ecosystem.
