With the new feature, remittances to about 160 countries can be made without incurring fees from Xoom, as it enables conversions from PYUSD to US dollars.

Users can send money straight to foreign bank accounts, mobile wallets, or pick-up places; however, there will be a markup on currency conversions from USD.

Eligible U.S. customers can now convert PayPal USD to USD to fund transfers on Xoom, PayPal’s cross-border money transfer service. This new option allows eligible U.S. Xoom users to send money to friends and family abroad with no Xoom transaction fees. https://t.co/cFbDHffe9U pic.twitter.com/YHEMU9wwKp

The business emphasized in its most recent release that PYUSD allows customers to send money overseas without paying any transaction fees to Xoom.

The service supports Several payment options, such as direct transfers to bank accounts, mobile wallets, or nearby financial institutions so that recipients can pick up the money.

There will be a spread on currency conversion transactions. Hawaii customers cannot utilize the service because of state-specific restrictions on bitcoin holdings but all other users in the United States can use it.

The New York-based Paxos Trust Company is in charge of managing and issuing PYUSD. The business has issued nearly $200 million in PYUSD since its launch in August. The same day, Ripple declared its plan to challenge the $150 billion stablecoin industry by launching a US dollar-backed offering.
