FTX European subsidiary has collaborated with the music festival Tomorrowland. As part of the agreement, the exchange will help its partner’s Web3, NFT, and crypto-related initiatives.
FTX Europe, FTX’s European affiliate, teamed up with Tomorrowland, probably the world’s largest dance music festival. The crypto exchange will support its partners’ Web3 and NFT operations.
The festival specifically promised to include the finest of blockchain technology in its next activities. The award-winning digital event Tomorrowland Around The World and the annual renowned Tomorrowland in Belgium are among them.
About the partnership
The collaboration will aim to provide music enthusiasts with non-fungible tokens and Metaverse experiences. In the near future, Tomorrowland’s transition to Web3 could open up a slew of new opportunities for festival-goers to buy virtual tickets and interact with their favourite acts.
“It’s wonderful to witness the ongoing melding of crypto, music, and events,” said Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO and Founder of FTX. Future Tomorrowland efforts, in his opinion, will provide attendees with a “fun and interactive way to acquire admission to exclusive events.”
“From the beginning, Tomorrowland’s DNA has been to never stop pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation in order to offer the most unique experiences and significant moments for our global community, The People of Tomorrow.” The transition to Web3 provides a plethora of options for our limitless imagination, as well as the potential to strengthen our community’s links in the next years.”
Tomorrowland is a Belgian electronic dance music event hosted in the Belgian town of Boom in the province of Flanders. Its inaugural iteration was held in 2005, with “just” 10,000 persons in attendance.
The event grew in prominence over the next decade, with notable DJs including Avicii, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, David Guetta, and many others performing. Over 400,000 people attended Tomorrowland in 2018, which set a new attendance record.
Coachella And FTX
Tomorrowland isn’t the first music festival with which FTX has collaborated. The exchange partnered with The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival earlier this year to introduce non-fungible token (NFT) collections to festival attendees.
“Coachella Keys Collection,” “Sights and Sounds Collection,” and “Desert Reflections Collection” are the three categories for the digital collectibles. The most important is the latter, which commemorates the festival’s 20-year existence.
