Binance Labs is accelerating the Web3 revolution by investing in Delphinus Lab, a pioneering infrastructure provider in the zkWASM market.
This investment, made on August 21, marks the beginning of a new era for Web3 apps, promising increased security, privacy, and flexibility for developers and users.
zkWASM is a technology that combines zero-knowledge (ZK) encryption with WebAssembly (WASM) environments. Delphinus Lab has developed the first open-source zkWASM virtual machine to enhance Web3 DApps.
WASM virtual machine, created jointly by Google, Mozilla, Microsoft, and Apple in 2017, allows code to run seamlessly in browsers using widely-used programming languages.
Delphinus Lab’s innovation lies in merging ZK-proof technology with WASM, bolstering the security and privacy of applications and contributing to a more decentralized and trustless digital ecosystem. Sinka Gao, the Founder, and CEO of Delphinus Lab explains,
“With our zkWASM Hub, we’re introducing an efficient multi-chain execution layer for developers to deploy and manage their WASM-backed apps in a dynamic rollup environment. We aim to empower next-gen Web3 DApps that combine Web2’s robustness with Web3’s decentralized, trustless nature”.
Binance Labs’ investment will support the development of Delphinus Lab’s zkWASM-based application rollup platform, zkWASM Hub. This platform offers customizable WASM extensions, automated proving, batching services, and an auto-compilation and updating service for GitHub applications.
Yi He, Binance’s co-founder and head of labs, reaffirms the company’s commitment to supporting initiatives that build essential infrastructure for the growth of Web3 apps.
He expresses excitement about Delphinus Lab’s zkWASM implementation and its potential to attract Web2 developers to Web3.The partnership between Delphinus Lab and Binance Lab highlights the increasing importance of zkWASM technology for upcoming Web3 applications.
Combining ZK-proof technology with WASM’s adaptability and usability opens up new possibilities for developers and end users, paving the way for a more secure, private, and decentralized digital world.
