A multi-year agreement has been reached by Mr. Wonderful to serve as a brand ambassador and spokesperson for FTX. Mr. Wonderful will be compensated in cryptocurrency assets and will have an ownership share in FTX.
Kevin O’Leary, the Shark Tank host, has signed on as an official spokesperson for Sam Bankman-FTX Fried’s cryptocurrency exchange. He will be compensated in cryptocurrency and earn shares as part of the agreement.
According to a statement made on August 10, O’Leary would take an equity share in both FTX Trading Ltd. and West Realm Shires Services Inc. (the owners of FTX.US and FTX.com), as a result of his relationship with the companies.
The venture capitalist, who is also known as “Mr. Wonderful,” agreed to a multi-year arrangement to serve as a brand ambassador and spokesperson for the company’s products. He requested that he be compensated in cryptocurrency assets in order to enhance his holdings.
Finally solved my compliance problems with #cryptocurrencies I’m going to use FTX to increase my allocation and use the platform to manage my portfolios https://t.co/yaoRUnXy14

As he stated in the release, “institutional investors struggle with the decision to invest in crypto assets” because they have the same compliance-related worries that he did about cryptocurrency:
“I have no interest in doing any of this crypto crap because it is not compliant.”
A huge audience has been assigned to O’Leary, and he has already begun to put his skills to use on social media, including promoting an FTX CryptoPunk NFT giveaway on the platform’s Twitter account.
In the title of his post, which asks “what to win a CryptoPunk?” he made an unfortunate spelling error, which led to his post being deleted. “Here’s your chance!”

Due to the extreme inconsistencies in legal frameworks throughout the globe, the venture capitalist is known for coining amusing nicknames for cryptocurrencies. In January, he referred to Bitcoin (BTC) as a “giant nothing-burger” because to the various regulatory frameworks across the globe. He has also referred to Bitcoin (BTC) mined in non-environmentally friendly ways as “Blood Coin.”
In March, he said that he will be allocating 3 percent of his investment portfolio to Bitcoin, reversing his previous position.
In a Cameo video published this week, he referred to Ethereum as “ultrasound money.”
