Former OpenAI Executive Chief Scientist Ilya Sutskever has launched his own AI firm to solve problems with safe superintelligence.
Ilya Sutskever, a former Chief Scientist at OpenAI, has disclosed his forthcoming career trajectory in a decision that is not entirely unexpected.
Sutskever to concentrate on development of secure superintelligence
“I am establishing a new company,” Sutskever wrote on X.
The new corporation is known as Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), as reported in an earlier post that he emphasized. The former OpenAI scientist is currently concentrating on developing secure superintelligence with SSI, identifying this objective as the most critical technical challenge in the contemporary era.

SSI is addressing technical challenges that raise concerns about safety and capabilities by leveraging scientific advancements and revolutionary engineering. Over the long term, the platform’s primary objective is to enhance capabilities at an extraordinary rate while ensuring safety.
Sutskever was instrumental in removing Sam Altman from OpenAI in December 2023 while serving as the company’s Chief Scientist. There was considerable speculation regarding his prospective position within the organization for an extended period. Sutskever resigned from the AI company rather than respond to these rumors. The day following the launch of the GPT-4o model, his departure from OpenAI was particularly noteworthy.
His decision to establish his company occurred months after his resignation. Nevertheless, it emphasizes the rapid ascent of AI in a relatively brief period. Sutskever’s new company has developed the world’s first straight-shot SSI facility.
“SSI is our exclusive focus, name, and entire product roadmap.” The firm stated on X that its business model, investors, and team all agree to intend to achieve SSI.
SSI maintains that its offices are in Palo Alto and Tel Aviv, where it has established a strong presence and has simple access to the most talented technical professionals. The company is presently navigating the hiring stage and has stated that it is constructing a lean, cracked team of top engineers and researchers.
AI tokens to generate substantial profits
In other news, AI tokens are rapidly becoming ubiquitous, as many aim to make their holders millionaires during the next bull run. AI tokens such as Bittensor (TAO), Render (RNDR), Near Protocol (NEAR), Graph Protocol (GRAPH), and Fetch.ai (FET) have all demonstrated substantial price increases with NVIDIA surpassing Apple to become the world’s second-largest company.
The interest in AI has heightened the interest in these asset classes. Coingape previously identified the top three AI-powered altcoins to add to one’s watchlist this year for investors interested in placing a wager.
