Aptos Foundation has partnered with Myco, a Web3 streaming platform, to strengthen its ecosystem and foster the development and expansion of the Aptos blockchain.
The partnership entails the integration of Myco’s platform with the Aptos blockchain to decentralise streaming, as indicated in a press release made available to Cointelegraph.
“The partnership will prioritise technical integration, the development of builder resources, and a shared dedication to the advancement of Web3 technologies and the provision of next-generation, decentralised digital streaming experiences.”
About the partnership and token’s inception
The partnership is a component of Myco’s overarching strategy to migrate its infrastructure to the Aptos blockchain and to bolster the Web3 streaming service provider’s long-term aspiration to achieve complete decentralisation.
The announcement also follows the Aptos blockchain’s forthcoming launch of Myco’s “native utility token” in early Q4 of this year.
According to Hani El Khatib, the co-founder and chief of Web3 at Myco, the streaming platform’s launch on Aptos is a “significant milestone.”
“This integration aligns seamlessly with our mission to lead the charge in making Web3-enabled streaming and entertainment accessible to the masses.”
USDT on Aptos
Tether introduced its United States dollar-pegged token on the Aptos blockchain on August 19 to provide users with reduced transaction costs.
The objective of the USDT integration on the layer-1 blockchain was to enhance Tether’s efforts to improve the global use and accessibility of digital currencies by leveraging Aptos’ scalability and speed.
Introducing USDT on Aptos will offer consumers an “economically viable” alternative that will only cost a “fraction of a penny.”
Aptos ZK keyless wallets
Aptos introduced a web-hosted keyless wallet application on July 3 that employs zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs for user verification.
The new keyless wallet, “Aptos Connect,” allows users to connect to decentralised applications (DApps) using a Google login without needing specific security measures, such as passkeys or multiparty computation networks.
The announcement indicated that Aptos Connect would streamline Web3 onboarding by “enabling users to establish and manage Aptos blockchain accounts with a single click.”
