OpenAI launched ChatGPT ‘Advanced Voice Mode’ in the UK. Some users concern about AI safety and service constraints.
Sam Altman’s AI company, OpenAI, announced on Saturday that its new ChatGPT advanced voice mode is now available in the United Kingdom.
This launch follows the global rollout of the voice mode for ChatGPT Plus users, though reactions from UK users have been mixed.
OpenAI ChatGPT Voice Mode Now Accessible in the UK
A post from OpenAI on X dated September 28 stated, “Advanced Voice is now available in the ChatGPT app to Plus users in the UK.”
The post also reminded users to download the latest version of the app to access the voice-mode features.
This UK launch comes after the global debut of ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode. News Outlet previously reported on the launch, noting that the UK and EU were initially excluded due to regulatory concerns.
However, the recent release has quickly gained traction across the UK, seemingly alleviating those regulatory issues.
Despite this, some users have expressed concerns about the new generative AI service, highlighting both the pros and cons of AI.
Others appear disappointed by the limitations placed on prompts, while there has also been criticism regarding the service’s availability for general users.
Additionally, some users have pointed out a jailbreak version of the voice mode in responses to OpenAI’s X post.
Overall, various concerns have emerged following the UK launch of the voice-mode service.
