The Italian soccer champion Ac Milan latest step into the web3 world is this new partnership with an esports team.
Italian soccer team champions is getting more involved in cryptocurrency with a new set of NFTs from esports franchise MonkeyLeague, which is based in Solana.
The new non-fungible token (NFT) partnership will let fans mint Rossoneri-branded wearables and give them access to game tournaments, such as football players testing the game.
Not for the first time, the Italian soccer team champions sent out an NFT. In January 2021, the Italian soccer team that won the World Cup launched an NFT campaign and its AC Milan Fan Token (ACM) on Socios.com, an app for fans to interact with the team and get rewards. A month later, the fan token was also on the cryptocurrency trading platform Binance.
This year, the club started new partnerships to release official NFT video highlights and joined an NFT-based fantasy football game where users could collect, trade, and play with digital cards from the Italian soccer team champions.
The first football team to work with MonkeyLeague is AC Milan. In a press release, AC Milan’s chief revenue officer, Casper Stylsvig, said, “We are thrilled to start this partnership with MonkeyLeague. It gives us a chance to strengthen our position in the field of digital innovation.”
